WASHINGTON – Rep. Mike Rogers (R-Ala.), House Homeland Security Committee ranking member, released the statement below following the mark up of the FY 2021 Homeland Security bill, which would block funding for President Donald Trump’s border wall: “It’s disappointing that for political reasons, Democrats still won’t acknowledge that President Trump’s border wall system is succeeding in keeping our borders safe and secure. Yet again, Democrats are pushing a bill that caters to their radical open-border policy and has no chance of becoming law. We must put forward serious proposals that include fully funding the border wall instead of trying to score political points at the expense of keeping our country safe.” ### |
